Our new blend contains not only herbs to control pain but anti-inflammatory herbs as well. Horses suffer from aches and pains just as we do. It's important to root out the cause of pain as well as to treat the pain itself. Most traditional (allopathic) pain killers suppress the systems but don't really get to the root of the problem.   • SENIOR BLEND, Whoa Nelly

Whoa Nelly Senior blend provides herbs to help improve the energy level, strengthen the immune system and improve the digestion of the senior horse. We combined Burdoch root with Cleavers along with other herbs to create a good overall blend to support the Older horse.
Burdock is a very useful tissue cleanser and healer, helping the tissues remove any excess toxins, making it ideal for use in chronic inflammatory or infective disorders.
Due to its detoxing nature, it is important that burdock should be used alongside herbs that help with the removal of these toxins from the system,  herbs such as nettle or clivers are ideal.
Burdock is an excellent digestive aid and has also been used in the treatment of arthritis and rheumatism. It is particularly useful for treating any blood disorders, liver and kidney function or toxic conditions which result in skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, sores, boils or dry scurfy skin. Burdock is also reputed to have anti-tumour activity.

How to feed herbs
Make a tea or infusion by adding hot water and adding this to their grain once it is cooled. Sprinkle dry as a hay topper or on top of grain or fresh veggies. If your horse is not used to herbs, introduce them slowly to their daily diet. Most horses will take to them naturally though.
